Written for Anti-Social Music.

My stint at ACA in Feb/Mar 2007 spawned three pieces. I was beginning this particular work, when my partner called. Upon describing my first few glorious days in New Smyrna Beach, she said, "Well, it sounds like a bucolic wonderland down there." My fondness for found titles left me unable to resist using that quip. Like much of what I've done since 2005, this piece creates textures out of a melody, and also features my penchant for messing with the listeners' (including the performers) sense of the downbeat.
